Bill grew up in Tenafly, NJ. He moved down to Atlanta when he was in his teens and graduated from Sandy Springs High School. He went on to attend Vanderbilt University where he became a member of the Kappa Alpha fraternity and made many friends along the way.
He met Peggy Ann Brewer through her mother Irene. They married in 1964. He went on to Harvard Business School and graduated in 1965. In 1967 William G. Booth IV was born. In 1969 Nicole Rene Booth was born. They settled down in Winston-Salem, NC. Bill worked for Executive Control Systems where he was Co-Founder/Partner. His consulting clients included Coca-Cola, Hanes, L’eggs, Bali, and Fieldcrest. He was the account manager and principal architect for the L’eggs projects.
Bill and Peggy divorced in 1974 and he married Sharon Whitacre in 1975. He took to her children Heather, Heidi Lance and Dev as if they were his own. He adopted Dev to his last name when he was 6. In 1979 Bill and Sharon had Brienne Schaefer Booth. She was their pride and joy. Bill went on to work for L’eggs Products, Inc. as their Chief Technical Officer.
In 1981 Bill and Sharon moved to San Antonio, TX. Bill took a job with Datapoint Corporation, Inc. as their Chief Information Officer.
In 1982 Bill and Sharon moved back to the Atlanta area where he took a job with Automated Data Processing, Inc. as their Vice President of Customer Service, National Accounts Division. In 1984 Bill started his own company, Principia Systems, Inc. where he was Partner, Chief Architect (business/technology-application consulting).
Bill and Sharon stayed in the Atlanta area until 1997 where they followed their dream to move out west to Phoenix, AZ to be close Heather, Heidi and Lance and their grandchildren Jeremey, JT, Holland, Brittany and Skyler.
In 2000 Bill and Sharon divorced and he moved back to the Atlanta area to be close to his current clients within Principia Systems.
Bill loved to watch movies, have dinner with good friends and hang out with his kids Nikki, Billy and Dev, their spouses and their children.
Bill was diagnosed with Stage IV Metastic Prostate Cancer and Type II Diabetes in 2005. Bill fought his cancer as best he could but succumbed to his illness on June 14, 2007.
Bill will forever be missed by so many people. He touched so many lives in so many ways and made some lasting impressions on people.
Bill was truly a remarkable person.
